Nazareth and Sea of Galilee
Nazareth and Galilee one day tour Itinerary
Pick up will be at 05:50 from Jerusalem, and 07:15 from Tel Aviv.
Drive north for a scenic view along the coast, and then we go East and travel through the plain of Armagedon, there will be a view of Megiddo. Stop to view the Mount of Precipitation on the way to Nazareth. The first stop in Nazareth will be the Church of Annunciation. This church was built in 1969 over the original ruins of the church. The original was built about 549, and destroyed, and was rebuilt many times over the centuries. Next to this we will tour the church of St. Joseph.
Leaving Nazareth, we will pass Cana, and see where the first miracle that Jesus performed took place. Arriving in Capernaum, we will visit the home of Peter, and the Church that commemorates the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and the fish.
Drive on the shores of the Galilee, you can see the Golan Heights in the distance. We will pass Tiberias that was built over 2000 years ago.
At Yardenit, which is on the south end of the Galilee, there will be a chance to be baptized in the Jordan River, for those who wish to do so. (There is an extra fee)
When driving back we will pass Mount Tabor, that was the site of the transfiguration.
Arrival back at about 18:00.
